It is me again. It was a nice day out today so my husband and I went for a walk in the cemetery and took a close up picture of the date on Elizabeth's stone and I will attach it for you to see. We cleaned it off as best we could and we are very sure it reads 1825. Needless to say I was excited about that.

Published in the Pine City Pioneer, Dec. 4, 1903 - transcribed by Loretta Tobeck

On Nov. 18th, in St. Paul, Mrs. Elizabeth Holler, wife of George Holler, died of heart disease, at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Johnson, after an illness of only a few days.

The remains were brought to this village and the funeral held from the M. E. Church on Sunday morning, the 22nd, instant at 10:30, Rev. Ferguson officiating.

Elizabeth Smith was born in Pennsylvania in 1829 and was married to George Holler in 1842 and they lived together 61 years. She was the mother of four children, George and John Holler, Mrs. S. Kilgore and Mrs. A. J. Hathaway, of Pine City and vicinity, all of whom survive her. Those from out of town who attended the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Fortin, all of St. Paul.
